Who can enter?

The competition is open to all chefs permanently and fully employed by Sodexo and/or agreed affiliated companies across the globe.

Register for the Sustainable Chef Challenge and you will receive the competition package. Tell us about yourself, what inspired you to become a chef, why sustainable cooking is important to you, and most importantly, what are your sustainable dishes.

Register for Cook for Change! The Sustainable Chef Challenge and you willto receive the your competition package. Share your culinary journey, your passion for sustainability, and most importantly, your standout sustainable dish.

How it works.

Round 1 - Region Chef Challenge 2025

Each Region will select the top competitor to represent their region in the Cook for Change! The Sustainable Chef Challenge. The submission deadline is June 27, 2025.

Round 2 – Semi finals 2025

The top three scoring submissions from each region will come together for a live semifinal to compete to see who will progress as the regional winner and represent there region at the global cook off ( grand finale)

Round 3 - Global Cook-off 2026

The top regional competitors will convene for the final in the UK 2026 to showcase their skills and dish. Chefs will enjoy an immersive learning and development experience and engage with chefs from around the world.

The top chef will be featured in the press, social media and the Sodexo Annual Culinary Report and receive the experience of a lifetime.

  • April 28th

    Submission open! Registered participants can submit their dishes and a short video by email.

  • June 27th

    Final date for registered participants to submit their dish.

  • July 27th

    Evaluations and selection of the regional finalist by the selection panel.

  • Sept 8th

    Regional semifinalists announced

    Regional semifinal heat 1:

    Hosted in North America: bringing together the NorAm, Brazil and LATAM winners.

    Regional semifinal. The regional judging committee will vote and choose the top Sodexo chef for each region during the semifinal's.

    Grand Final & Global cook off! The judging committee will vote and choose the top Sodexo chef and overall winner of The Cook for Change! The sustainable Chef Challenge.
